We source all our meat directly from our own farm. Every cow is raised by us using ethical farming methods, ensuring they are treated with care and respect throughout their lives. By managing every step of the process, we guarantee the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and animal welfare.

All cattle at CD Farms is pasture raised and grain finished. We never administer any hormones or growth promotants to our cattle nor is it included in their feed. 

All CD Farms cattle are processed in a USDA approved plant where they are individually processed, packaged, and labeled. 

Our perishable beef products are shipped vacuum sealed and frozen over dry ice in an insulated shipping container. We utilize Fed Ex 1-2 day shipping in order to ensure timely delivery. 

If your product arrives and is not frozen but is still cool to the touch, it is safe to eat within 7 days or placed in the freezer to be refrozen. If it is not cool to the touch, please contact us. 

Frozen beef can be stored safely for 4 - 12 months. While beef kept constantly frozen at 0°F (-18°C) or below remains safe, prolonged freezing may cause freezer burn, which can affect flavor and texture.

Tips for optimal storage:

• Use airtight, moisture-proof packaging to prevent freezer burn.
• Label packages with the freezing date for easy tracking.
• Thaw frozen beef safely in the refrigerator or under COLD water before cooking.

Thawed beef can typically be safely stored in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days before cooking. This applies whether the beef was thawed in the refrigerator or by another safe method, such as in cold water.

     Tips for Handling Thawed Beef:

• Keep the beef in its original packaging or place it in an airtight container to prevent cross-contamination.
• Cook the beef within the recommended timeframe to ensure its freshness and safety.
• If you don’t plan to use the beef within 3 to 5  days, you can refreeze it as long as it was thawed in the refrigerator and hasn’t been sitting out at room temperature. However, refreezing may slightly affect its texture.

For the best results, always follow safe food handling practices.

Due to the perishable nature of our product, we employ the highest standards to ensure your product arrives safely. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns.

If you are not happy with your product, please contact within 24 hours of receipt and we will work to make it right. CD Farms reserves the right to investigate all claims.
